This valley in the Highlands is hauntingly beautiful with steep mountains rising on both sides and a river winding through the bottom. The Massacre of Glencoe in 1692 adds a dark history to the already moody landscape.
This is a giant landslide that has created bizarre rock formations and towers that look like the scenery for The Lord of the Rings. Sharp peaks and hidden plateaus look especially impressive in the rays of the setting sun.
