Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 July 2026
These Terms govern your use of Hazemere, which is currently operated by an independent individual (contact@hazemere.com). By using the service, creating an account, or publishing content, you agree to these Terms and to our Community & Child Safety Policy, which forms part of them. If you do not agree, do not use Hazemere.
This is a short, MVP version of the Terms. A fuller version, including payment terms, will apply when paid features launch.
1. The service
Hazemere shows curated and creator-made travel worlds as route-stories. The browsing experience is free. Some features — saving worlds, the memory layer, the social layer, and the creator studio — require an account.
2. Your account and eligibility
You sign in with a one-time email link or with Google. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure. You must be at least 16 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country; at least 13 where local law sets a lower floor). We may set a higher minimum age for social or messaging features, and we may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms or that we reasonably believe belong to an under-age user.
3. Acceptable use and Community Policy
You agree to our Community & Child Safety Policy, which defines content and behaviour that are not allowed ("objectionable content"). In short: don't use Hazemere to break the law, infringe others' rights, harass or endanger people, upload malware, scrape or overload the service, or publish content that is illegal, hateful, deceptive, sexual involving minors, or that endangers people or places.
Don't reverse-engineer, copy, resell, mirror or otherwise commercially exploit the service or its curated content outside its intended use.
4. Your content and the photos you upload
You keep ownership of the tours, text and photos you create in the studio ("your content").
You warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to everything you upload — in particular the photographs — and that publishing it on Hazemere does not infringe anyone's copyright, privacy or other rights. Do not upload photos you found online unless you actually hold the rights to them.
Some tools — the sandbox route builder — let you assemble a walk from third-party photographs already published under open licences (public domain or Creative Commons) in libraries such as Wikimedia Commons. Those images stay under their original licence and belong to their authors; Hazemere displays them with the required attribution and claims no ownership. The warranty above about uploaded photos does not apply to these open-licence images — instead, you are responsible for using only images whose licence permits reuse, keeping their attribution intact, and not adding images that break these Terms or the law.
You grant Hazemere a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for display, publish and promote your content within and in connection with the service, for as long as you keep it published. This licence ends when your content is removed, except for copies retained in backups for a limited time.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify the operator against third-party claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from your content or from your breach of these Terms — in particular a claim that a photo or text you uploaded infringes someone's rights. This does not apply to the extent a claim results from our own wrongdoing, and nothing here limits your mandatory rights as a consumer.
5. Moderation, notice-and-action, and copyright
Creator content is reviewed before it is published, and we may remove or unpublish any content — and suspend or close any account — that breaches these Terms, the Community & Child Safety Policy, or the law.
Reporting illegal or infringing content (notice-and-action). Anyone can notify us of content they consider illegal or infringing by writing to contact@hazemere.com with enough detail to identify it and to explain why it is unlawful. We review valid notices and act promptly, removing or restricting content where appropriate.
Statement of reasons and appeals. When we remove or restrict your content or your account, we will tell you the reason — unless the law prevents us, or the content is manifestly illegal (such as CSAE). You can appeal a decision you believe is wrong; see the Community & Child Safety Policy for how.
Copyright and the DMCA. If you are a rights-holder and believe your work is used on Hazemere without permission, send a notice to contact@hazemere.com including: identification of the work; where it appears on Hazemere; your contact details; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act; and your signature (electronic is fine). We remove or disable access to the material and notify the person who posted it, who may submit a counter-notice. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
6. Messages
Hazemere lets members who follow each other send private, 1-to-1 text messages. Messages are private to the two participants; there are no public channels, groups or unlimited-recipient broadcasts.
Everything in the Community & Child Safety Policy applies to your messages: you must not use them to harass, threaten, deceive, or send sexual content, and never any content that sexually exploits or endangers a minor.
Report and block — you can report any message and block any member from within the app. We act on reports and may remove content, warn, suspend or close accounts.
No proactive scanning — we do not proactively scan the content of your private messages; we act on what is reported to us or otherwise comes to our knowledge.
7. Our content
The Hazemere name, design, the curated worlds and the software are owned by the operator and protected by law. These Terms don't give you rights to them beyond using the service as intended.
8. Paid features
Some features may become paid (for example a subscription or creator sales). Payment terms, prices and any platform commission will be presented before you pay and are not part of this MVP version.
9. No warranty; travel at your own risk
Hazemere is provided "as is". Travel information may be incomplete or out of date and can change. Always check current conditions, safety and access yourself before travelling. Some content — including user-generated content — may be created or assisted by AI and may contain inaccuracies; verify anything you rely on. To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service or reliance on its content.
10. Termination
You can stop using Hazemere and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms.
11. Governing law and changes
Hazemere is currently run by an independent individual operator, not a registered company. Until that changes, these Terms do not impose an exclusive governing law or forum, and nothing in them removes the mandatory consumer-protection rights of the country where you live. A specific governing law and venue will be set once Hazemere is operated through a company and paid features launch. We may update these Terms as the product evolves; we'll change the date above and, for material changes, give notice in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
